Dealing with the Loss of a Loved One and the Pandemic

It's been 2 months since my mother passed away from her sickness and it was tough that she has to endure staying in her bed for a long time being partially bedridden with the care of me and her previous caregivers. I am also greatly supported by my husband and mother-in-law. I, though, have a brother who lived from us, somehow send us support for my mother's health and maintenance.  I'd like to share my husband's experience with attending to my mother's documents, requirements, and wake. I could the severity of the country's situation now that we are in the middle of a crisis, a lot of changes were made to the structure on how the process is being done when it comes to filing for a death certificate due to the increase in the number of Covid-19, the government institution strictly implemented rules to contain the virus, one of which is when a person is found to be a person under investigation, commonly known as PUI, or someone who has Covid-19, therefore when de...

Mix Feeding: Breastmilk and Formula

Image
Hi! Feeling emotional today *sob* Amidst the quarantine, I just gave birth to a healthy baby girl. I am thankful and I am happy. I am blessed. Challenge arises. Back in the hospital, my baby started to latch and nurses had taught me how to proceed on having to breastfeed my baby. I was on C-section, by the way. Too eager to move but I can’t. So, I was nursing my little one whilst lying down. Everything was okay until I felt pain during breastfeeding. I started to get sore and my nipples started to bleed. So painful I thought I could not take it any longer and my baby started to get more fussy and crying after being fed. I spent few more days in the hospital, we are supposed to get discharged on the third and fourth day. Unfortunately, extended few more days due to financial constraint but we have it resolved. Thank goodness. Back on breastfeeding, I have noticed that my baby begins to tug my nipple so hard, she’s not getting the milk that she needs. I have been reading through va...

Article Writing

Four months passed when I had to start again, the time runs so fast and most of my time spent are at work and home (eating and sleeping). I really wanted to do a lot of things but when I get home, all I wanted to do is to rest.  I still continue my part-time job because I really wanted writing but unfortunately one of the projects I am working on suddenly selected designated writers for their site and of course, I am not one of them because I work part-time. I cannot leave my full-time work because this is where I get our food on the table. I just would like to share a bit of my work from the requested article.  "Did you know that babies start hearing in their second trimester in your womb and that they begin to hear a variety of sounds before they are born? Studies also show that babies recognize words while still in the womb. Researchers proved that mellow songs and sounds can create a soothing and calming effect that greatly influences the feeling of the baby. ...

A Life Milestone

My mom reached 70. We asked, "What is your birthday wish?" We did not hear any response. She just smiled. I could remember the time when she left and was lost for 3 days, not knowing where we will find her. Eventually, she's found after days of searching. Little did we know she's losing her memory. The experience of worry and sadness is unbearable. Somehow, I just thought of fighting it. There is always a reason why things happen. In this case, it helped us to be reminded of how painful it is to lose a loved one. My dad passed away when he's 69 years old, young and wanted to fulfill his dreams upon retirement. But certain occurrences were unavoidable. Inevitable. Old age. Sickness. As I live with my mom, I just have to learn the power of acceptance. This is the only way for us family to be happy, instead of living a life with regret. I hope I can deliver message to everyone that life is short, we would not know what will happen next. Cherish th...

The Beginning

Now I am 30, I just earned a decent amount through content writing and I have never felt this kind of excitement ever before. I have started this page way back years ago and I don't have any idea how to start and what should I even say. I just thought what if I can put all my life experience on this blog and put a title on to it. What does life can actually offer? What's the best thing that ever happened to me? How can I inspire people? I have chosen a very simple background theme from a variety of the basic templates that are ready to use and I wanted to create my own if I can, being a blogger and writer just existed in my imagination where thousands of books I have written and stories of life were told. My father passed away a year after this account has been created. I recall that my life started to crumble at that time. I have mixed emotions, my heart was filled with unhappiness, guilt, surrender, relief, hope, challenge, frustration, worry, and everything else. I have t...
